Enrichment
At Anderton we believe it is very important to extend learning outside of the classroom and ensure our pupils feel a valued member of the wider community. We also feel that these links will help benefit pupils’ individual needs and help them to gain independence.
We encourage all of our students to get involved with the Enrichment activities and clubs as we feel that they are valuable and provide enjoyment as well as enhancement to their school life and education.
Enrichment helps students to develop their interests and abilities, provides valuable learning experiences outside their studies, and promotes independence and inter-personal links with students in other year groups.
Our students work hard, enjoy life and celebrate their successes.
Take a look at all our photos and what we offer at Anderton.

Year 6 love ‘buddying’ up with our reception children. They love hearing them read, helping them with work on seesaw and enjoyed helping them look through microscopes.
Jen Carney, author and illustrator, came into school to work with Year 4, 5 and 6. The children were very engaged in the workshop and lots of children asked some challenging and thoughtful questions. All children were given the opportunity to buy Jen’s book that she signed. Thank you Jen Carney.
