Year 2 2026 - 2027

Welcome to Year 2

In Year 2 the class teacher is Mrs Laithwaite and the teaching assistants are Mrs Cross, Mrs Holmes and Miss Carroll. 

We are set to have a fantastic year.  Please download our long term plan and medium term planning to see all the amazing things the children will learn in Year 2.

Our class page will keep you up to date with important information that you need to know and celebrate the good work taking place in class.

Important dates for your diary:

PE will take place on Tuesday and Thursday so please make sure the children come to school in their P.E kit on this day. They can wear outdoor or indoor P.E kit depending on the weather.  See the uniform section of the website for more information about the P.E kit.

Spellings will be sent home to learn on Fridays.

Please make sure your child brings their reading book to school every day.  Reading books can be changed everyday and the children are expected to hand them in once they have finished reading their book.  Don’t forget you can access lots of books using Oxford Reading Buddy.
