Support Staff

Anderton has an amazing team of support staff that help make Anderton the most warm and friendly place for children.  They have many different roles and come from many different backgrounds and their knowledge and experiences help to enhance the pupils’ learning and enjoyment.

The support staff that work with the children the most in the classroom are the teaching assistants and their primary role is to assist the teachers during lessons.

The Teaching Assistants  at Anderton are all well qualified and most can deliver 1:1 teaching and teach small groups.  A Teaching Assistant Level 3 (TA3) can deliver focused classes to small groups and provide cover for a whole class in the teacher’s absence.  A Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) is also able to plan and deliver lessons for whole classes whilst the teacher takes their Planning and Preparation and Assessment Time.
