Science Day

Year 3 did a number of science investigations today.  Corey told Mrs H all about what the children did.

“Using cups of water, kitchen roll and red and blue food colouring, we watched the colours travel and mix to make purple.”

“We made cornflour slime, which looks wet when it is in the bowl, but it isn’t when you touch it.”

“We mixed vinegar and bicarbonate of soda and food colouring – we could see rainbow colours.”

“When we poured milk into a bowl then added food colouring we had to be careful not to mix the colours. Then we added washing-up liquid to the middle of the bowl and the colours disappeared!  when you lifted the bowl up and look underneath you could see a rainbow!”
