Complaints Procedure at Anderton Primary School

We hope that you and your children will be very happy during their school life at Anderton Primary School.

However, from time to time issues arise that may concern you and you may wish to seek advice and support to resolve a problem.

Step 1

Discuss the matter with the class teacher. The staff are always willing to have a chat with you. You may need to make an appointment for a mutually convenient time so that you can chat about issues in more detail.

Step 2

If the issue hasn’t been resolved to your satisfaction the next step is to involve the head teacher, Mrs Minton. An appointment should be made with either the head teacher on her own or the class teacher and head teacher together. Which option you choose should depend on your concerns.

Step 3

If the issue is still not resolved to your satisfaction then you can write to the Chair of Governors. Please mark your letter Private and Confidential, as this will ensure your privacy. The school will forward this letter directly to our current Chair of Governors, Mrs Elaine Bilsborough.

If you still feel that the issue has not been resolved to your satisfaction after a response from the Chair of Governors, you will be provided with details of whom to contact next.

We hope to resolve any issues as quickly as we can and aim to reassure you and your child throughout the process that we are doing our best to alleviate your concerns.

Mrs Minton and/or the class teacher will keep in contact to inform you of the progress we are making.
