Leave of absence should not be taken in term time except under exceptional circumstances.

Applications for leave of absence must be made using the official request form available from the school office.

From September 2013 ANY leave of absence taken during term time, which is not considered to be an exceptional circumstance, will result in the child receiving unauthorised absences for the duration of their absence.

If a child is part of a split family and the parent that they do not live with wishes to take them on holiday – the  application form must be completed by the parent with whom the child lives.

These changes are a result of new government guidelines.
